Inter-School Cross Country Championship

crosscountry

Students were all prepared on the Saturday of 1st November, 2014. They were ready to battle it out against other schools because when it comes to cross-country for Kisumu Senior & Junior Students’; it’s always WIN WIN WIN!

All the runners were registered and took off according to their age category of U9 girls & boys, U12 girls & boys, U15 girls & boys. As we were keenly waiting at the finish, Masood Khan was sprinting towards the finish line (U15 boys- winner) and behind him was our very own outstanding runner Armaan Bux (U12 girls-winner). This was an incredible moment for our school as most of the athletes coming through were from our school. Joseph Okal ( U12 boys-winner) who is also an exceptional swimmer was dashing through the finish line with a boy from Aga Khan Kisumu behind him and Jorim Seda ( U12- 3rd position) finishing 3rd in the U12 boys category. Pooja Patel (U12 girls- 3rd position) also beat some of the older runners and came in 3rd in U12 girls. In the U9 category, the competition was very tough. However, this did not stop our little competitor, Bhavin Mepani (U9 boys-2nd position) to be beaten that easily.

It was a proud moment for our school when the head teacher of Breaburn announced the overall winners of the different categories. U9 was taken by Aga Khan Kisumu, U12 and U15 overall winners were Kisumu Senior and Kisumu Junior Academy.

This was proved for the 4th time in a row, that KSA & KJA are UNBEATABLE!
